Our story
In Finland, foundational skills like reading, writing and mathematics are taken seriously. Yet even in one of the world’s strongest education systems, we kept seeing the same problem: Teachers lacked fast, clear and truly comparable insight into each child’s real skill level.
Some students were struggling quietly. Others were unchallenged. And too often, testing itself took time away from learning.
So we decided to build better tools. Tools that make assessment shorter, clearer and more meaningful. Tools that help teachers see what really matters, and act on it.

Lauri Ståhlberg,
the Founder & CEO
Lauri Ståhlberg is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Tutorised. He founded Tutorised to address a structural flaw in education: schools test frequently, yet teachers, schools and municipalities rarely obtain a clear and reliable picture of learning outcomes. With a research background in educational assessment at the University of Helsinki and experience as a special education teacher, he has worked on both sides of the system: designing and building measurement ecosystems for schools and municipalities, and supporting the pupils those systems are meant to benefit.
He believes assessment should not be slow, vague or bureaucratic. It should be precise, comparable and immediately actionable. Under his leadership, Tutorised develops evidence-based digital assessments and learning games that provide teachers, schools and municipalities with reliable, comparable data on learner performance and development, rather than fragmented or misleading information.
Lauri’s focus is straightforward but ambitious: to help children learn more effectively.
